1. Introduction
Welcome to the official website of the Think Advancement Initiative Empowerment Foundation (TAIEF) (“us,” “we,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including any paid training programs, application processes, and digital content access (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Program and Service Fees
2.1 Training Program Subsidies
TAIEF offers access to highly subsidized training programs, including qualifications leading to locally and internationally recognized certifications. The stated fees for these programs reflect a substantial discount applied by TAIEF.
2.2 Payment
- All fees for subsidized training must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the program, unless an alternative payment plan is explicitly agreed upon in writing by TAIEF.
- All fees are quoted in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are subject to change without prior notice, although fees confirmed at the time of enrollment will be honored.
2.3 Refunds and Cancellations
- Withdrawals Before Program Start: Requests for refunds due to withdrawal must be made in writing at least 7 days before the scheduled start date of the program. A full refund, minus an administrative processing fee of 20%, may be issued.
- Withdrawals After Program Start: No refunds will be issued for withdrawals made on or after the scheduled program start date.
- Service Interruptions: If TAIEF cancels a program, participants will receive a full refund of all fees paid for that program.
3. User Accounts and Eligibility
3.1 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 Trainee/Participant Requirements
Individuals applying for the Trainee role must meet all specified eligibility criteria (e.g., age, educational background) as outlined in the program description. Successful application to the Volunteer Mentor or Program Contributor roles is conditional upon TAIEF’s administrative review.
4. Intellectual Property and Content
4.1 TAIEF Property
The content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to the TAIEF logo, text, graphics, and training materials, are and will remain the exclusive property of TAIEF and its licensors.
4.2 User Submissions
Any content you submit through applications, forms, or comments (including ideas, feedback, and technical data) becomes the property of TAIEF, and TAIEF reserves the right to use such content without compensation to you.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service:
- In any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- For the purpose of exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way.
- To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material, including any “junk mail,” “chain letter,” “spam,” or any other similar solicitation.
6. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall TAIEF, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service;
- Any content obtained from the Service;
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice before any new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
